I’m a Canadian author, songwriter and musician currently living in Norfolk, England. My first novel, ‘Medicine Song‘, was self-published in 2017 and was largely inspired by my experiences over the years performing at greenfield music festivals like Glastonbury, Stainsby Festival and The Green Gathering. Though I enjoy performing solo, most of all I love my musical collaborations, which include the duo with Chris Ellis, and our harmony-filled four-piece Hand to Hand, with Mal Darwen and Delagh King.
My current writing project is a work of speculative nature fiction, which aims to tell as as interesting a story as possible while at the same time describing a realistic, yet hopeful way to a sustainable, healthy planet. I am very grateful to the Green Stories Novel Prize for awarding a previous version of this manuscript (titled ‘The Norfolk Re-Creation Hub’) joint second place in their 2023 novel competition.
